Hey! I wanted to started the newest thread for the September 2014 CHLA RN Residency applicants! I just sent in my application. Where is everyone from and what unit are you looking to land a job on?

Post as you please!

Thank you! It seems like I will get poked anyway because I dont have all the vaccinations :/ hope I dont get pee-shy (last time I had to pee in a cup it took me like 5 mins because I could "feel" my doc listening on the other side of the door) .... Did they do vac titers? All joking aside, hope this program is all it promised to be and more! Excited x100!!!

Hi All,

I just recently was offered a position on 4 East, the Heme/Onc unit. I am moving down from Northern California and attended a University out of state, so I do not know many people in Southern California.

All your posts have been helpful and I really appreciate all the information you have provided regarding the new hire process.

Thank you!

Hi I came across your posts and saw that you got excepted into the program! Congrats that is awesome!! I am applying for the March cohort! How do you like it so far and do you have any tips on how to stand out either through my resume/cover letter/letter of intent? Or even during the interview? I put down picu as my first choice. Did you feel the interview questions were tough?! Sorry I am just nervous and excited and curious! My email is brittroland.rn@gmail.com if you wanted to email me back! Thank you and hopefully hear from you soon!

Hi what questions do they ask for the 1st round interview? Do they ask about mission/vision?

Hello! I have applied to CHLA with BMT being my first choice unit and I was wondering if you had any advice for the interview process? I was selected for first round interviews next week. This is my dream unit at my dream hospital. Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much! Documenting your experience throughout the application and interview process is so encouraging to me!
