Hello friends! This thread is for everyone applying to CHLA's RN Residency Program starting in March 2020. Hopefully we can keep each other posted on the application process, interviews and whatever else. I'm trying to apply to their NICCU! What about you?

Thank you! I’m from San Diego. My nursing program was an accelerated BSN in SD but I got my first degree in LA/lived there for a few years so I dunno if that mattered. I’m interviewing on the 14th and was told it would be about 20 mins.

I also applied to 6E and have an interview on the 14th :) just wondering if you ever got a confirmation email or just made an appt over the phone like I did? I wanna make sure I’m not missing anything haha

Congrats! I didn’t get an email...just the phone call as well lol. I was starting to wonder if I really did get an interview. But glad to know someone is in the same situation as me! Good luck to us ?

Hello all,

I'm an anxious NICCU applicant, was just curious if anyone got interview invites for any floors. I've seen 6E, but has anyone received an invite from any other floors?

Good luck to us all ?

I’m still checking my phone every 10 minutes. ? I’m also a NICCU applicant but I haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully we both hear back soon! ??

Haha, Heart Institute here - waiting patiently. From the looks of the board it seems like it's just 6E that's gotten calls. I'm sure others would chime in when they get a call.

Hey! Called HR and they said we won’t hear back until probably end of month but like don’t hold me to it haha

PICU here. No word yet either.

Thanks for making this! I’m actually not a new grad, but I’m applying to the transition fellowship in October we and wanted to see if anyone else would be interested in starting a post for that. I’ll leave this here and see if I have any takers. Thanks and good luck!!

Hi! I'm applying for the transition fellowship as well! You're not alone! So far I've received a request for a phone interview about 6E. I did the same thing last year. After the phone interview with HR, my resume was sent to the unit, and it was turned down there ☹️. On the plus side, their HR was super nice! Higher hopes for this year!!

Hello guys! I applied to 4E and anxious to hear back! I originally applied to just the oncology floor but they decided not to take people this year.

Oh really? Did you apply this year and they told you that they weren’t taking students so you had to choose a new unit?

Yes! It was nerve-racking since it was like a week later they decided to close the application. I had to apply all over again they couldn't just transfer my application.
