CHLA Residency September 2016

Hi all,

I was just wondering who has applied to CHLA's residency this time around, and if you've heard anything back! The application was up during the first half of last week. Good luck to everyone! :)

Hey Caltenurse, I did too! They didn't mention how many positions are available but from what I was told, they only take about 8 people. I don't know if it's day or night shifts actually.

Anyone got a call for a second interview for the Heart Institute yet? This waiting game is giving me high blood pressure..

Hey! So I have an interview scheduled for this Friday but just received a rejection e-mail. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm wondering if the e-mails were sent in error.

I just got that email too, but I interviewed on Monday. I think it may be an error because they told me I wouldn't hear back until after they finished the rest of the interviews on Friday. I hope it is an error!

Did you happen to interview for oncology? That's what I'm going for, maybe it was just our group. I called the nurse recruiter and will post when she gets back to me. Thanks for the response! Puts my mind at ease.

I interviewed on Monday for oncology and just got the email too that I wasn't selected for an interview. I was thrown off guard because the lady told me I wouldn't hear back until Friday. I know they are still doing interviews until Friday so it doesn't quite make sense. I am hoping it was an error as well!

I got a rejection email :( I have applied for several peds positions and have not been able to even score an interview. At this point I'm not sure where I am going wrong. Is there anyone willing to give me some advice or share some things that might have helped you score an interview?

I also received the rejection email today and have yet to be invited for an interview. Has anyone received an interview for PICU yet? Just wondering if I should still be checking this forum 23473848234273847 times a day ;)
