CHLA Residency September 2016

Hi all,

I was just wondering who has applied to CHLA's residency this time around, and if you've heard anything back! The application was up during the first half of last week. Good luck to everyone! :)

I got a call late today to interview with the oncology department!

What units did you all apply to?

Nicu and OR. When they called me they didn't say what unit I was being interviewed for. So maybe it's for both? Not sure!

Usually they completely disregard the 2nd choice. I work here and I applied and mentioned to one of the nurses that I tossed NICCU as my 2nd choice and she said they don't even look at it. Good luck everyone! The emails for the speed interviews went out earlier this week. :up:

My interview is on April 29th at 10:30! I'm super excited. Good luck to you!! I've heard they usually hire 2-3 people for the unit.

Looking at last years thread it looks like we'll only have this interview since we bypassed the phone interview. I'm already so nervous even though we still have weeks to prepare.

I heard CV Acute, 5W, and Hem-Onc have all heard back.. any others?

Mine is for 4E & 4W. I was told it is a 15 min. pre-screening.

A little confused as to the first and second interview deal, I had mine today and they didn't mention anything about it. They said just wait a couple weeks for everyone else to interview then we should hear back, so maybe they changed things.
