Children's Medical Center Dallas July 2020 Cohort

Hello all! I am starting this thread for those applying to Children's Medical in Dallas. Applications just opened today, I just submitted mine! Hopefully everyone can use this chat to put each other's minds at ease. Good Luck to everyone on your job search!

Has anyone heard anything yet? I was okay with waiting up until this point, now I am freaking out a little, lol!

I received an email Friday asking for my unit preferences, answers to some situational based questions and more information about my school/graduation. I was told to send all of my information back by noon today and then I would be hearing back by feb 17th at the latest if my unit preferences have decided to interview me.

Was that for the acute or critical care tract?

I applied for both and the email said to specify for either/both

I applied only for critical care and have not heard anything. starting to think that means I’m out since others are receiving emails based off the other thread for Children’s ?

Are you living in Dallas? I have also not heard anything and was thinking it was maybe due to me being out of state at the moment...

No, not living in Dallas, but I live in east TX just 3 hours away so nothing crazy. Did you apply to both acute and critical? Or just one?

Okay, maybe that has something to do with it! Seems like everyone who got an email asking for preferences applied for both, maybe they are wondering if those people would prefer critical or acute care. Hoping since we only applied for critical they just don’t need to send that email to us! ??
