Hi there,
I applied today to Children's Hospital of Colorado's New Grad Residency Program. Just looking to get in touch with anyone else who is applying, planning to apply, etc. I thought it would be nice to get in touch with anyone going through the same process of applying/waiting to hear back/interviewing, etc.

Haha I know right! I was expecting them to offer to let me take the mask off and then I realized oh I'm keeping it on ? I'm not really sure with interviews either, but I feel happy I tried my best though! That test felt like nursing school all over again ? Hopefully we'll hear good news though and be coworkers! ? I thought they were really nice and I loved the unit so fingers crossed!

I hope so!! That would be so exciting!! Did they mention when you could expect to hear back? I totally forgot to ask
Hey, congratulations on getting into this program! I hope it's going well for you both! I'm thinking of applying also, but for next year after I graduate.
Can I ask what kind of things were on the written exam during the interview? Was it NCLEX-style nursing care or more ethics/decision questions? Just wondering, thanks!
For those who accepted the offer (congrats!) and started the residency in the Summer, how is it going? Any changes with COVID? (Are classes online, smaller groups, etc.) Anyone know if they are being more lenient with the grad timeline of having graduated within last 12 months? I graduated over 12 months ago but do not have any RN paid experience. It's a tough market for us (awesome) peds nurses! :)
