Hi there,

I applied today to Children's Hospital of Colorado's New Grad Residency Program. Just looking to get in touch with anyone else who is applying, planning to apply, etc. I thought it would be nice to get in touch with anyone going through the same process of applying/waiting to hear back/interviewing, etc.

Hi! I was thinking of applying! I'm from California so I'm hesitant on applying and potentially not being able to transfer my CA in time.

I don't think it would hurt to apply ? you don't loose anything by putting yourself out there, you never know what can work out!

I was thinking of doing the same! This CA job market is just nottttt working for me

I’ve heard it’s pretty competitive out there. If you applied in CO which units are you most interested in?

If I do apply, my top 3 would be NICU, PICU, Hem/Onc

Did you guys hear anything about them not running the nurse residency program for our timeline due to Covid?

No I haven’t, have you heard that? Or were you just wondering? I haven’t seen any changes made to this cohort. I’m hoping there wouldn’t be as this cohort doesn’t begin til the middle of August. ??

If you go to the nurse residency page there's a new banner at the top that's been added that states they are halting the recruitment process. I don't know how generic that banner is or if it pertains to us.

I just looked and saw that ? ugh! Hopefully it doesn’t apply to us? I emailed the talent email listed under that announcement. I’ll post an update on here when/if I get a reply.

The job posting is still online so I would still apply if I were ya'll to at least still have your app submitted. If anything, the process might just be delayed a bit from when you hear back

Completely agree - can't fault them if it's delayed! I completely respect that they have to relocate available resources to ensure patient safety.
