Hello Everyone,

I wanted to start this thread for those who applied to CHC Nurse Residency Program for August 2021. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah...definitely very risky haha it was probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make and I'm still not sure if it was the correct one but nothing to do now! I'm from the east coast and have always wanted to move towards the west so I've applied to several hospitals on the west coast/colorado but CHCO is my top choice. My gut told me to keep trying for where I think I will be happier so that's why I declined it. We'll see what happens haha!!

Did you have your interview with the CO Springs NICU?

I’m from Michigan and also wanna move out west? hoping we get it! 
 

No, my CO Springs NICU interview is June 8 and CO Springs MedSurg and PICU interview is June 9 (the lady who called said the manager is the manager for both PICU and MedSurg).

What time is your interview? Mine is on the 8th for Anschutz. I read on another thread that previous people who interviewed had a written test at the end of their interview. I believe this was when interviews were in person, but I wonder if they will have us do one as well.

11am ET on the 8th (NICU CO Springs) and 1pm ET on the 9th (PICU and MedSurg CO Springs)

It’d be difficult to do a test virtually, so I imagine they’ll just do a regular interview! Good luck with yours!! You got this??

I read that about the written test too on the older thread. I've heard of other residency interviews including a verbal prioritization question or something to get at our clinical judgement. My interview's on the 16th for CO Springs ED, and I'm gonna prep for a question like that just in case. I agree (and hope) that it probably won't be written though.

Hey friends! Congrats to all who made it to interviews! 

I got my email as well saying I wasn't selected for this round. But encouragement for all of us who didn't get in this time is that we have a great chance to get hired as a little more experienced nurses- I'm always seeing job openings for CHC for Clinical Nurse II's so we can apply again in a few years! Good luck on your further searches and those who have interviews coming up!

How'd the interviews go for you guys?  :)

Did they say anything about when you might get an offer or if there are any other steps in the selection process?
