Hello Everyone,
I wanted to start this thread for those who applied to CHC Nurse Residency Program for August 2021. Good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone!
I applied to the residency program starting in October (it was supposed to start in November, but they moved up the application deadline and start date). I applied to the Anschutz ED, and I am very nervous about being from out of state but super excited about the possibility of working there! Anyone else in the same boat?

I also applied to the Anschutz residency program! I preffed NICU, PICU & ED! I wonder how long it will take for us to get responses!

It looks like people started receiving interview invites around 3 weeks after their application was due. So my guess would be we should hear something between the 23rd and the end of August. Rejection emails came almost exactly a month after their application deadline. Fingers crossed!

Yay, awesome!! Did you apply anywhere else?

I am from MI so I panicked and applied to a lot of places LOL. UCHealth, HCA HealthONE (I have an offer with them, but just waiting to hear back from other places), SCL Health & Children's!

I went to school in Florida, but just moved and applied for a CO license straightaway since I knew I wanted to end up in CO. I believe you need a Colorado driver's license or some proof of residency in order to apply for a nursing license though (correct me if I'm wrong). The CO licensure process was very quick in my experience, less than a week from submitting my application until I got my Authorization to Test for NCLEX.
I definitely agree with @ekh10293 about showing commitment and it's nice to have your NCLEX already done by interview time (but not required because scheduling and finding a test date can suck sometimes)
I have friends that just got their compact license and are planning to transfer it to whatever state they end up moving to, which also seems like a good option if you were unsure which state but want to take NCLEX as soon as possible. You'd be fine either way ?
