Here's a new thread for anyone who applied for the July 2020 Acute or Critical Care Nurse Residencies at Children's Health Dallas, we can keep each other updated! The application closes today (1/16)! I applied for both tracks!

Yeah probably normal that we haven’t heard about interviews, but I’m worried because several people here who applied for both tracks have received emails with behavioral questions and unit preferences and I’ve received nada! ?

He said Feb 17th is the deadline to find out if you get an interview. Interviews are Feb 25th and 26th. I’m an internal candidate, so I don’t know if that makes a difference or not. Good luck y’all!
Hi! Were you given the time range for interviews for the 25th and 26th?

Nope. He just asked me which of the two days I would be available so he could pass that on if anyone was interested. Children’s is incredibly slow. It took almost two months to do the on-boarding after I got hired in my current position. If he says we’ll find out by the 17th if we’re being interviewed, he more than likely means on the 17th. Good luck y’all!

Congrats, I got a call for CVICU too! Did they provide you a specific location they are interviewing at, like is it on the unit?

Interviews usually happen on the unit. After you get into the hospital, you’ll just let the front desk know who you’re there to see, then they’ll get you a sticker, call them and they’ll come get you. Good luck to you!!
