Children's Colorado New Grad Program March 2014 Start

U.S.A. Colorado

Hi!

So I couldn't find a thread for the March 2014 start date, so I thought I would start one! How is everyone? I believe we find out soon if we were selected for interviews. Anyone know anything else?

Woo hoo. Congrats. What unit did you get? I know people who applied to Nicu, onc, and med/surg.

Congrats sep71114!! I hope we all hear something soon!! The waiting is horrible!

I will be on the 6th floor, which is the surgical floor! Has anybody else heard yet?

You're the first I've heard of. Did you have 7 interviewers?

Haven't heard of anyone hearing anything except for sep71114 either. I only had 3 interviewers.

I was interviewed by a panel of 5 people, seems like it varied for everyone.

I just got called a little while ago, and unfortunately it was a "thanks, but no thanks" call. I'm really at a loss for what to do with finding a job. But good luck to everyone else, I hope you all make it!

I was fortunate to get the call this evening to work at Children's Hospital in the NICU. I'm still in shock. I thought for sure that I didn't do well during the interview.

UCAFBlue - Have you tried Denver Health? They were my next option if I didn't get into Children's Hospital. Also, P/SL has a very good NICU and Peds. I work at P/SL as a CNA and love it there. Their NICU is excellent but wasn't hiring new grads.

Congrats lkk0718!

Yes, I've tried Denver Health a few times...they have a strange (and difficult) test that you have to take before getting an interview...I was being considered at one point, but assume I failed that test when they changed their minds. Not sure they'd consider me again. And I've been trying P/SL since last summer, but as you stated, they have not been hiring any new grads. I do have an interview out of state next week, but that is really my last opportunity for now. I'm really heartbroken to think that it's looking like I'll have to move, but if it's for NICU, then I'm willing.

Congrats to you again, I hope you really enjoy Children's, it seems like it would be a great place to work!

Good luck next week. If worse comes to worst work on a different unit and transfer to NICU agter a year.

Has anyone else heard back yet? One of of my classmates got a job in Oncology but others are still waiting.

I have yet to hear back! Wait is killing me. I interviewed for the NICU
