Chico State University Reviews

Published

Hi everyone.

I am planning on applying to Chico states' Nursing program for spring start. I just got my acceptance letter for the school itself, but have no yet applied to the program yet.

I just want to know about the school a little more. I wanted to see what everyone thinks about the city itself and the school, the good and the bad.

If you can just tell me your opinions about the academics, the staff, and faculty I would love to hear.

I would also appreciate what you think of the people and the city itself.

I have a tour scheduled for in a few weeks, but I really would like to hear what other people think too.

Thank you! :)

@AB92, I bought them separately.

@jennybewbs, mine didn't mention volumes. Here's a pic of it.

@k2115 thanks. And you should have bought the bundle for the physical health assessment. I think it's cheaper.

I had a hard time finding the online one. I was just happy I found it haha.

Oh. Okay. Haha. So have you gotten all your books yet?

All but the single one in the middle. The extra required book. I couldn't find the newer edition on amazon. What about you?

@k2115 I was just about to ask you about that required book. The only latest edition I could find is the 6th edition and there's like two different ISBNs online..

I still need med-surgical.

I bought the 6th edition of the apa because they is no 7th edition. I even tried to look on the apa site.

You know our packet has alot of typos so i dont even know anymore. Haha

How much have you spent in total for books?

I'm at like $590

I'm at $667, not including the extra $25 for the apa book. Sounds like we will be close in prices. The med surg one was expensive.

This is the most i've ever spent on books i think. So crazy. And we still got out uniforms and stethscopes and other supplies.

I know, me too! My stethoscope was 100, plus shoes, scrubs, clamp, scissors, CPR, certified background and basic school supplies. I also need to buy a laptop and printer.

It's ok, it'll all be worth it! I'm excited!!

@k2115 Did you already have that stethoscope? I was hesitant of buying mine because the paper said if you don't have one yet to wait until orientation to buy one.

I bought one a few months ago. I saw that, I hope mine works ok. It's the one that everyone recommends.
