Chemistry and Biology in spring2010 = crazy??

Published

Im doing my pre-requisites and am thinking of doing Chem and bio for the spring. (have to for A&P).

Does that sound crazy? How hard are they? Those are the only two classes I will be doing.

Thanks.

Hi, I don't think that is crazy, this past semester I took Chem and A & P 2 along with 2 other courses. So if those are the only courses that you are taking you should do well. The only thing is in Chem there is a lot of math that is involved, so if thats not your best subject then make sure you ask questions until you understand, but once you get to the organic chem part, thats the easy part. Good luck.

It's not crazy at all. I took Chem, AP1 and Nutrition. I wanted to make sure I could handle the load and it was no problem at all. AP1 requires tons of studying... there are lots of threads with tips on allnurses. As vcurrin02 said, lots of math in Chem but its doable. The labs for both were very interesting. Good Luck!

I took both Chemistry and Biology this Fall, it was not hard. Chemistry was really easy, even the math part of the course

I took Gen Chem (with lab), Intro to Molecular and Cellular Bio, and Calc I in the same semester for my non-nursing undergrad. Nothing worth sweating.

I took Principles of Bio and Chem 100 this past semester along with a Math. Chemistry was pretty easy Bio I struggled with but it was honestly because of my professor. You should be fine

If you are a strong student go for it! Just stay on top of your game. I took A&P II, Micro, Organich chem, and Pharm at one time It was very time consuming but very doable (not a real word lol)

not crazy at all.. i took bio 101 and chem 101 this past semester with speech... i passed em all.. chem was a little tough though.. more critical thinking bio is easy just memorization... infact they kinda go hand in hand.. ie kinetic energy to like how heat is added every year etc.. just apply yourself and study... i didnt even study at all really got b's in all.. they say it isnt recommended but i say where theres a will theres a way.. so now im taking microbiology and anatomy and english.. ppl look at me all crazy and i laugh and say u said the same thing when i took bio and chem GL =)

You should have no problem.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Wow! you are all so brilliant, its inspiring!

I went to the library to borrow some books on Chemistry since I figure it would be hard, can you believe they have no one book!.

I have to get a second hand book somewhere, Ill call and find out what books they'll be using.
