I wouldn't say Gen Chem is easy by any means. I began the semester enrolled in the same anatomy & chemistry classes with six others. Slowly over the course of the semester, they dropped, one after the other. Two of us stuck it out, but while I made B's, my friend made a D in anatomy, and a C in chemistry. It wasn't that the material was difficult, but it was extremely time consuming.
I took an 8 week chem class with a 5 week English one. Chem was easier than expected because the teacher was amazing and he did take his time to make sure everyone understood. In the English class I got an A and a B in chem. by the way, I'm horrible at math and I was able to pull through. Now I have just finished A&P 2 this past Monday and will finish Micro tomorrow. These 2 classes and 2-8 week classes together were doable but lots of work for both. Lost of essays, labs to complete, vocabulary, etc. I work nightshift only twice a week so that helped me to keep up with homework when we had downtime. I'm expecting an A in A&P 2 but micro, I'll be happy with passing it. We had a few 100 question tests without even discussing the material in lecture so teaching myself has not been very easy. Best of luck!
What do you guys think about taking A&P2 & chemistry together for fall? It's that two much
It depends on the level of Chem you're taking. Is this an Intro to Chem class (e.g. no prior Chem experience or no high school Chem, never learned the periodic table, etc.) or is this General (sometimes called Inorganic) Chemistry, where they expect that you already have had exposure to Chem, already have the periodic table memorized, etc.? Because if it's the latter, you might be in for a LOT of work. If it's an intro level, you should be fine.
Double check and make sure. Each school is different. I just finished Gen Chem I and I couldn't imagine having taken it along with Physiology or Micro. It was the toughest class I've had so far! Intro Chem was pretty easy.
