Hey! I thought I would start a thread for those who applied for Chemeketa's program this year in hopes to begin Fall 2015. I just did my essay yesterday afternoon :) I know it's rare to get in your first try, and I would need full points on my essay to even have a chance, but it would still be neat to keep in touch with some others who have also applied! Good luck everyone! I would love to hear from you!

It was random selection from my understanding. I'm sorry you didn't get in but several people that have 360's have already expressed that they're going to other schools. You have a good chance of getting in.

Thank you for staying positive... I checked previous alternates and I've only seen a low of alternate #6 getting in... And they found out in August.

They must have used random selection because I have the same score as you do and am in.

Again, last year they used 17 of the 20 alternates. I know of someone who got in but is going to OHSU instead. You really do have a great chance of getting in with such a low alternate number Sanguiano :)

Yeah I guess I will just wait longer and see what happens. How do I know if they have accepted any alternates? Is there a phone number I can calI to check? I'm going to obsess! Ha ha!

Hi all. Congrats to everyone accepted into a program. I am alternate # 19 on Chemeketa's list. My stats 357.5/360. A's in 231 & 232. B's in 233 & 234. 50/50 on essay. Out of distinct. On PCC's wait list as well. Still hopeful.

There were two people with 360's on this thread alone that decided on OHSU, and momhas5 knows of another, chin up! You have a good chance :D

OK so for everyone who has been accepted... How long do you have to tell them a for sure yes or no? Because I'm thinking that alternates will receive the open positions after that deadline. Or does anyone know how the alternate thing works? Do they call? E-mail?

I believe they call. Our acceptance paperwork must be in by July 13. If we fail to do that our spot will be given away. Also if we do not register by September 4th our spot will be given away.

Hello ALL,

First of all: CONGRATS!!!!! :)

I was accepted at Chemeketa, scored 358/360, A in BI231 & OHSU Monmouth. I have accepted the offer at OHSU so will be declining my offer at Chemeketa.

So alternates please do not lose hope!! ( I know easier said than done)

I am so happy the results are in, it has been an interesting journey to get into a program, but now the real journey begins!! WE DID IT, we are closer to becoming the best nurses. AHHHHH super excited for us all!
