Hey! I thought I would start a thread for those who applied for Chemeketa's program this year in hopes to begin Fall 2015. I just did my essay yesterday afternoon :) I know it's rare to get in your first try, and I would need full points on my essay to even have a chance, but it would still be neat to keep in touch with some others who have also applied! Good luck everyone! I would love to hear from you!

Lol we've all been stalking it welcome! I hope we hear sometime soon.

So here's the word....

I just called and was informed that the applicants who were NOT accepted and are NOT alternates were notified with a bulk email - meaning it was sent at the same time, all at once, yesterday. So if you didn't receive a letter of denial to the program yesterday, then you won't.

They are now working on sending out alternate emails, one at a time. I don't know if they are notifying alternates from #20 - #1 or from #1 - #20...

This means that if you haven't received notification you are either

A) an alternate

or

B) accepted

So like I thought, no news is GOOD news :) other than we might be high on the alternate list.

I guess I should also clarify that we still COULD receive denial letters...I'm not an expert and I don't know their process completely. If they are randomly choosing applicants from the 358 pool, then they might be emailing us denial letters later than the others...just saying...

I'm so happy for everyone! But how did everyone with the same score as me get in but I got alternate #8?!! I haven't even heard of a lower alternate from anyone! My friend who had the same score as I did but she was not a resident got alternate #10... Which means I had bad luck and got picked last out of our score group :'(
