Chem Fall 2007

I'm hoping we can make this a sticky and have a new Chem group for Fall 2007. I'm starting August 23. I'm taking Chem (of course), A&P 1, and Nutrition. Anyone else up for a Chem group?

Math 40 is Intro Algerbra; and Chem 105 is Intro to Chem.

I think you should be fine. Remember most of the professors are more than willing to give extra help if you need it.

Well I started Chem and we are learning basic conversions into the metric system and within the metric system. Lots of HW but the instructor seems helpful.

Had my 1st chemistry class yesterday. We are also doing metric conversions, and significant numbers and density. All of our homework is completed on the author's website and electronically submitted, so that makes it convenient. So far so good!

I am started Chemistry this semester aswhile I am nervous because I need an 'A' to be accpeted in the nursing program for my community college and I did not even take chemistry in high school. My fingers are crossed, do you guys know any websites that are helpful with Chemistry? Thanks!

So how is everyone doing? I've only had 2 classes but I seems to be going pretty well. My instructor seems great; I'm starting to get the hang of this studying thing again after 15 years. I turn in my 1st official chemistry assignment tomorrow.

I start chem tonight and I'm a little nervous. This is my last class before I start nursing and its only 8 weeks. I haven't done chemistry in like 5 years and I started to review and realized how I don't remember anything...yikes. Well, good luck to everyone

My first class isn't till Friday. I'm taking a Fri/Sat Chem class and tonight I'm trying to add into an Evening Anatomy class because the Anatomy I'm currently in is an online hybrid class and I really think I need "in class" lectures in order to do well in Anatomy. I'm reading my Chem book this morning and really looking forward to the first class. I am a little nervous about taking Chem and Anatomy together. Count me in for the Fall Chem club though. I'm going to need all the help I can get.

So, today was my first day of o-chem. And we jumped right in! My teacher handed out the syllabus (didn't go over it much) then dove right into the first lecture. It was just a basic review of chem. After looking through the syllabus after class I think it'll be ok.

I had my first class today, and I love my professor. I had heard she was the best, and I think she might be. She has been teaching for 32 years, and her goal is to make chemistry fun. We did everything in groups, and the lecture was all interactive and hands on. My first lab in on Thursday. I think I am going to do very well.
