Chattahoochee Technical College ASN Fall 2016

My name is Jamie. I attended the first application session today at Chattahoochee Tech for the Fall 2016 program. I've enjoyed following the last two groups of prospective students on these boards and thought I would see if I could get one started for the 2016 applicants. I'd love to get to know other prospectives and share the emotional rollercoaster that hopefully ends on a high!! :)

Wow!!! I just looked at it and called. She was in the process of composing a letter to let all applicants know. It will be emailed and mailed. She said it does not effect the acceptance notification date or orientation dates (6/26 and 6/28).

Hi Liza! Welcome to the thread. I feel like the wait is so much longer now! I just read that email too. I wonder why the system felt interviews shouldn't be allowed. Anyone know?

I know y'all know this, but I put in the wrong days for orientation. It has not changed. July 26&28 not June. Don't want to confuse anyone!

Question for the current students: does the asn program follow the standard school calendar? For example: are there fall, winter and spring breaks and a gap between spring and summer semesters or are clinicals ongoing regardless of school calendar?

West Georgia Tech and Georgia Highlands are both accredited schools and neither one of them require interviews. I think it's a good thing maybe that means CTC is going to get accredited come August and that's one of the rules they are going to have to play by. Just my guess but i gotta say makes me very nervous to not be able to get some extra points.

In regards to the nursing program following regular school calendar:

Yes, they do follow the regular school calendar. However, there is a slight possibility that something random could occur - like a makeup day for clinical for a whole group.

Hi Everyone! My name is Amanda and I am a Chatt Tech ASN 2016 hopeful. So glad to have found y'all! I made a thread in the "Georgia" section of All Nurses about a week ago (https://allnurses.com/georgia-nursing/chattahoochee-tech-asn-1052692.html). I'm redirecting everyone here as this is a more established thread.

I have mixed feelings about not doing the interviews anymore. On one hand I am relieved and on the other I was hoping to add extra points to my application. I have 260pts without the interview. Hope that is good enough.
