Chattahoochee Technical College ADN program 2020

Published

Hi my name is Samantha, I am currently a CST (certified surgical technologist) at CHOA, and I am considering applying to the ADN program for fall 2020! I actually completed the Surgical Tech program at Chatt Tech, and since then have been working at CHOA, I love my job there and love being a surgical tech, but really want to advance my career in the medical field by becoming an RN! I took my teas a few years ago before the surg tech program and got a 70 which is the minimum score and have a 3.46 GPA after the program. I would love to discuss with anyone thoughts about the program and any advise, about program admission, working while in the program, and tips and tricks for a higher score on the teas and CT exam!

What did the update you received say?

I got one that said the deadline was 2:00 pm, because I had not registered, however, there were 86 recipients, all of which I assumed were the ones that had not yet registered. There were probably 100+ more that did.

But as I stated previously, I just decided to stick with the first school that accepted me. I felt good about my chances, but I was not willing to wait that long to find out if I was in.

Yes that's the same email I got as well. I have already signed up though. Ready t ol take it and find out!! Congratulations and good luck at your program!

Good Luck to everyone taking the Criticl thinking exam today and tomorrow !! Just stay positive and remain clam. Oh and don't over think the answer usually the first answer is correct !!!

Yes don't over think it! I am awful at over thinking on test and I made a 73... I'm praying that I somehow made the cut. I did apply for both the RN and LPN programs so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get accepted into one of them! ??

yes, I can def do better at my test taking skills but will no the information when asked smh. Welp you past Thats all that matters! I Pray we all make it in. I take mine tomorrow. ima go to bed early so I won't overthink.

I will definitely be take zzzquil because I test in the morning and it’s a hour drive for me.

good luck with that...that stuff is basically benadryl and would make me groggy during a test where I had to critically think...I'd pass...LOL

I would think that if you've made it this far into the ASN admissions process, you'd have a pretty good chance of getting into the LPN program. Who Knows? Maybe more RN candidates than normal are opting for LPN as a backup this year due to reduced admissions.

I'm sure the people that were only interested in LPN to begin with aren't happy about that.

It doesn’t make me groggy it doesn’t have any drugs in it. I’ll be good to go!

Right! This is my third time applying to the LPN program. I did retake A&P2 and I took pharmacology to increase my chances for this time so I'm keeping my hopes up! I applied for the ADN program last year but didn't take the critical thinking bc it was the day before my sons due date LOL maybe this will be the year things work in my favor! ?

I just took the ATI Test. I scored 75 ?. There are so many applicants and only 40 open seats. I don’t know how to feel anymore. This was my 3rd try...

I take mine at 3. I feel the same way, there are so many applicants. I’m still applying to 3 other schools that have January starts.
