Charity School of Nursing (SON) Fall 2015

Published

Is there anyone else applying to Charity SON for Fall of 2015 (RN)? LOL, everything is so quiet. I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread so we can give help and support. Good luck, everyone!

nothing here either....I'm obsessing over it till the mail comes, then when it's not in the mail I'm bummed out the rest of the day...and in between I can't seem to concentrate anything else b/c it's constantly on my mind....:banghead:...

It's been the exact same way for me. The mail man didn't have anything for me today and I was so disappointed lol.

I know it is so hard to focus at work because it is all I think about.

If I have to go through all this waiting again next semester, I will not be a happy camper... this is torture!

I've been reading posts from you all for over a month now. Lol slowly creeping up to see if anyone's received any word. The anxiety levels are peaking for me! I have a question. I received a D the first time I took anatomy but then retook it and got an A. On the profile sheet you don't get points for getting a D but below I awarded myself points for not withdrawing from any classes, but it also states "count repeats".. So does that prevent me from getting those points as well?

I'm ready to go school supply shopping!!! Im such a nerd :)

So here's the deal with the vaccines/titers you have to have them before you register. You will also need a TB test but DONT get that until they tell you to because they want it done at a specific time because you have to repeat that yearly. When you get accepted they will give you a date that you will come to the school to get all the health/state board info. But there's no reason you can't start your vaccines now if you don't have them. If you have them you can start your titers

As for the open house I don't think you need to sign up at all. It's march 28th from 9-12. Yall should come

Is that the open house for admitted students or for everyone??

Everyone. Even those who are considering applying. Its an oppurtunity for you to tour the facility and maybe get some questions answered about the program. There will be student volunteers from different organizations so it could also be an oppurtunity for you to network and get info from current students

You'll get the points for no withdrawals. When they say count repeats, they're referring to classes you withdrew from, but ended up repeating and getting a grade. So like if someone dropped College Algebra, and retook it the next semester and got an A, it still counts as a withdrawl and they wouldn't get points for that section

I'm a little worried about the Hepatitis B Titer. I need the series of shots first, and that takes about 7 months, which is well past the registration date. How does this work?
