Charity School of Nursing (SON) Fall 2015

Is there anyone else applying to Charity SON for Fall of 2015 (RN)? LOL, everything is so quiet. I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread so we can give help and support. Good luck, everyone!

@tashat04 I hoped thats a sign that you got in.My mines did the same thing two weeks ago.I've graduated from Delgado in 2013.To send something tell me Delegado accepted credit is weird because I've done everything.

my credits from xavier have been on my transcript since I transferred to delgado back in 2012. I graduated December 2014. I haven't noticed any change on my transcript. sounds like maybe I didn't get in then.

@lcw92...Notification should be in dcc.email or one you provided to school.Check again.Believe in yourself.I don't know why they do it because I've have everything done already.It doesn't make sense.I've graduated from Delgado.I was like they're late:no:Very confused:wideyed:

I really hope it's a good sign. I'm going to be 30 this year and I've taken all the classes I can take. I also have 3 kids... I don't want to just be sitting around each semester waiting to get approved. I'm getting too old lol!

How do I figure out my csn GPA?

Also, now that my other transcripts are on, my GPA is lower but do they use total institution, or total overall. There are 3 different ones on my transcript: institution, transfer, and overall.

I got an email like that a few weeks ago. Not sure what it means though. I don't remember getting it when I applied last semester.

@tashat04 overall is what you use. The Csn just includes the required prereqs

Ok I added up my courses. I don't know if they include the ones I took over or if they take the higher or the 2 scores. I have a csn GPA of 3.80 if they just count the ones that were retaken and a 3.47 if they include the the class w a D and class with an F. I think my score is between 60 and 70 which really sucks! I'm not hopeful at all now to be honest

I hope that having a D,F, and W doesn't really play that big of a role on getting accepted as it looks on the sheet. Especially since my csn GPA is high

Wait...do they go by overall or cumulative? Because my cumulative is different than my overall and it said cumulative on the profile score sheet. I didn't see any points added or taken anywhere for overall.

Some classes they take your highest, others they take the last grade given. It just depends. W's, D's and F's do count toward your profile score. The GPA thing though is confusing me. I don't know which to use.
