Hi guys I applied to charity for the fall of next year and am waiting on the letter. i am so nervous i dont know what am gonna do if i dont get in. I have thought about other choices like LSU and OLOL EJ . I really want to go to charity but competition is high. I have a bachelors degree so i know they give 10 extra points i have overall gpa of 3.5 and on the nursing curriculum a 3.4. I got a 78 on the teas which is not that great. i have all the courses except a&p 2 and micro which am taking next semester. anyone who is in the program can tell me if they know people like me by chance that didnt have all the classes completed? my head cant stop thinking about this. please help this is a little depressing
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Just received my Charity SON acceptance letter for the Fall 2011 semester!
Was a pleasant surprise since I wasn't expecting the letter till December. Beejaycee, could you fill us in on what you know about the open Spring 2011 slots? Isn't it cutting it kind of close to get into that class with all the stuff that has to be done between acceptance and start of class? Thanks for any info you could share.
Regarding any empty slots in Spring '11, I don't know what is done to fill them. I was in the same position as many of you this time last year. I asked if I could move my fall admittance up to Spring but was not allowed. It seems that usually all the available slots are filled, either w/new admits or people who have to retake Basics but that didn't quite happen this time.
Congrats to both of you!!!! Am an xiously waiting for mine. I read the message and i was doing groceries i came back so fast but nothing in the mail. Omg am so nervous
I didn't get anything either. For some reason I ended up with all of my neighbor's mail and none of mine. I'm wondering if my other neighbor has all of my mail. She hasn't been home all day; I really want to know, but I don't want to go poking around in her mailbox. Guess I'll have to wait...
Thanks. Good luck to you too!Already!?!?!?!? Everyone says mid-December, my heart is racing now! I'm not prepared for a letter yet, LOL Congratulations and good luck
Congrats!got my letter! im in also!
Thanks. Good luck to you as well!Congrats to both of you!!!! Am an xiously waiting for mine. I read the message and i was doing groceries i came back so fast but nothing in the mail. Omg am so nervous
Don't know how much this will help, but my envelope says it was mailed on the 24th from zip code 70119. I live in old Jefferson right around Ochsner so that may be why I got my letter right away on the 26th. The actual letter inside is dated December 1, 2010. So, I'm guessing more people will start to get their letters this week. Keep an eye out on those mailboxes!I didn't get anything either. For some reason I ended up with all of my neighbor's mail and none of mine. I'm wondering if my other neighbor has all of my mail. Just another quick question for you guys: After this semester I will be done with all of my general education courses. I plan to take a medical terminology and a general pharmacology course in the spring; is it too early to start looking over a friend's old basics book? I figure it couldn't hurt, but any opinions?
