Chances of getting in????

I just started north hennepin this summer and I have an appointment with a counselor Tuesday to see when I will be able to apply. I am starting from scratch so it might be a while. N-way I would think with an 4.0 you wouldn't have no problem.

I figured my GPA would be high enough, but I was unsure if completing A & P II was essential for admission. I think I will need to talk to an adviser.

Do you know the nursing application deadline during the year? Is it during the spring semester or after?

The deadline for fall admission is the end of January. So, to be admitted for fall 06 you would need to apply by the end of Jan 06.

I meet with Kisti a counselor their and she told me that it look like I would be able to apply next year Fall 06' So I firgure as much. This summer I have 'Intro to alegbra' and the Fall I have Chem 1010, Biol 1001, and 2 acadamic development classes.....didn't do to well on the placement test.

So since I have so much time on my hands I am lookin for a part-time job:)

Saw one yesterday (I think his name was Tom). We discussed the needed GPA to be competitive in the biology courses. Basically, you need to have 3 of the required 4 completed ( biology, microbiology, A & P 1, and A & P 2) with above a B average when you apply. I am planning on applying this Jan after the fall semester. I should be good to go for fall 2006. Good luck on the pre-reqs.

I"m not sure if you were talking about the original posters but I'm going to be graduating in May from NHCC ADN program. I can answer some questions (hopefully) for you regarding the app process if that's what you were looking for.

Is there a waiting list there?

Yesterday I had a meeting with the health care advisor at North Hennepin . He told me that there is no waiting list. If you apply and don't get in, you need to reapply the following year along with the new crowd to be considered again. And there are usually a lot of applicants...:uhoh21:

Hey but good news is NO waiting list!! I have been looking at going to nursing school either in MN or Maine and most of the schools in Maine all have waiting lists...some 2 years!! YIKES!!!

i'll be starting school in january, how hard is h&p1. i kind of looked it up on the internet and it looked really hard. hopefully i pass that class or i'm screwed. my other classes are really easy.
