Chamberlain Houston Starting January 2015

Published

Hey! I start this January. I wanted to start a topic for all of us to communicate through! I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. I figured we could provide eachother with helpful information that would be easily accessible for all of us!

I am to speak to an adviser in the Pearland location about the BSN program or the ADN. I no its a new school.

Hello, I start this January too, I am starting off with transitions how about you?

Transition 1 philosophy online and health & wellness

how is the program going and what advise can you give about the hesi a2

Its is going great! It is very fast and tons of ready. I started with 5 shifts at work and dropped to 2.5 shifts. I really enjoy it though. Study a solid month in advance.... AT LEAST and read suggestions on here.

Google online practice HESI and make sure your purchase that book. Focus on the math, grammar and reading sections!

I am interested in this college.

How are liking it so far? As for the on campus classes are they held between the hours of 8-5? How many classes do they allow per semester?

Thanks

Angela

Hello Angela,

I currently attend Chamberlain College of Nursing Houston and I love it. Although the price of the school is very expensive overall it's a good school. I started last September so it's about to mark 1 year. I haven't actually started nursing courses yet and I am currently working on my prerequisites however I like the school. As for you wanting to know about the hours of classes, yes they do have classes between 8-5. But if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure they have night classes too. And they even have classes before 8 and after 5 I believe. When it comes to the credit hours per session I think the MAX classes you can take a session is 3. I've never seen any classes exceed 3 but then again maybe you should call the front desk and they can help you with that.

make sure you kno math conversion (for example grams to kilograms)!

I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to and was wondering if one of you that have gotten acceptance into the program may be able to answer.

I know they take a cumulative GPA of all the schools you received credit from. But my question is will they only take a cumulative GPA of the courses that Chamberlain was able to accept?
