Chamberlain College Of Nursing- FNP program

Published

I am researching online MSN programs and have narrowed it down to 2-3 and I was wandering if anyone has gone through the Chamberlain College online program for FNP. If so any advice would be helpful. Did you like the program? If not Why? Would you recommend an online program for a MSN?

Hello! I started the FNP program in July. I am about to complete my second 8 weeks at CCN. I took theory and informatics and I feel ok about it. I know you are extremely busy, but if you could answer some questions I would greatly appreciate it! How long has the program taken you since you doubled your courses? Did you take patho and pharm together? In hindsight, what are your recommendations for success? Thank you!!

Has anyone graduated from FNP program and took their exam? if yes, how was it? how did you prepare for it?

How was it with setting up for clinical in home state with no CCN campus in state?

Anyone know if CCN FNP program is approved in the state of Arizona?

TIA for any information.

Hey everyone I start the FNP program on October 26th 2015. I am making a facebook group to help each other through this process!

Hey are you still in the program ? Hows it going?

Specializes in Home health.

Yes, I just started patho! í ½í¸í ½í¸í ½í¸ so far so good, no problem. Still taking one class at a time.

Can you tell me if there are any lectures or videos with these course?

No lectures or videos. Although this might change. There are reading assignments and papers. You should work part time. I found the working full time is difficult but that's just an opinion.

Specializes in Open Heart, cardiology.

Hey Everyone,

Just reading all your posts. I am currently at Chamberlain FNP, in my third session. I am doubling with Healthcare Policy and Informatics. Hope this is a good combo. Just getting nervous with finding practicums. I am beginning to make a list of possible placements. Did anyone have problems finding practicums, and if so was the coordinator helpful?

Do you mean the traditional (4 year) BSN or the RN-to-BSN?

I just graduated from Chamberlain Feb 24th with my FNP. I really liked the class format and the online learning. I passed my ANCC boards 3 weeks later. The entire last course is focused on passing not only the final exam for the class, which is based on Amelie Hollier's book, but the board exam. You have to pass the final exam with at least a 70% or you have to take it again at a cost. If you fail it a second time, you have to retake the course. I had no problem passing the ANCC board exam. Although I did only score a 71% on the course final exam. I probably would have done better, but I have a family and I worked 40+ hours a week while taking courses. I changed my work schedule to do second shift so I could study all day after my daughter and husband left for the day.

I am also ex-military, so I got quite a bit of a discount at Chamberlain. Good luck! It's doable!

I've seen some people put their email and inquire about a syllabus. If anyone has any information or syllabi, from any classes, that they could send me, I would love that. I'm definitely a planner and also a travel nurse, so I need to prepare myself now because I never know what state I will be in. I don't start until September, but I think any information will ease my anxiety! Thank you. My email is is [email protected]. (Very old email as well, haha)
