Guys, I'm very anxious about this year's lottery. I can't wait any longer.

My question is this: I do not live in the service area, but do I still have a fair chance like everyone else or does being in their area get the upper hand? Also, I checked my status on their class web and it says that my major is nursing. Does that mean anything too or is everyones major nursing?

Anyone else applied?

Anyone hear from chabot yet?

Notices are not going out until Friday/Saturday.

The waiting is terrible, they are taking sooooo long, their website state that we should receive the notices by may 30, it should be any day this week!

Nothing in my mailbox either. The website says that those who got accepted are to take TEAS before June 17th. So they basically give people 2 weeks for preparation and the exam itself? Crazy!

That's right, just 2 weeks to take the TEAS!

Anyone is waiting for an acceptance/rejection from Merritt College? they also are due by May 26.

Here's an email reply that I received this morning:

"Letters have been mailed.* If you have taken TEAS version 4.0 after 08/01/2010 we will accept the test. If not and selection/alternate we will offer Version V on 6/13 (information on the letter)."

I've heard that people have received denial letters... Who knows. I still haven't received anything.

So I guess since I took the TEAS IV then I'm good to go if I get in?

Thanks for the news, I did not get an email, is receiving an email a good sign?

I checked my mail box more than 8X today, I will go mad tomorrow! I am sure I'll be doing this as soon as I get up tomorrow!!

The notifications are coming in the mail, not by email.

I do know that the letters come via snail mail, not email. I just emailed the program to get some questions answered and they're actually good about responding. And like I said, I've heard of 2 people who've received denial letters - maybe no news is good news?

What email did you use to get a quick response from them? I sent them an email a few days ago and they have not got back to me yet.

I actually didn't get into the program because they said I didn't meet their requirement (which is strange because I met their requirement last year, 2010). Also, is the minimum GPA to be consider 3.06? This is what I was told.
