Chabot College Fall 2011
Hi Cee Lee 78 I received a notice similar to that but they screwed up my GPA calculation. It said: "You have a 3.05 GPA, but did not meet the cut off criteria of 3.06 GPA". My GPA is higher then that and I was a qualify applicate last year. I recall on their website that you need to have a 2.5 or 2.7 GPA to be consider. I think they totally mess up this year. How come the cut off criteria is different between you and me, 3.06 and 3.54? This sounds fishy to me!

CCSF Fall 2011
Hi Madeleinprospero, I would think so if you're one of the first 60 students in the reapplying list. I believe CCSF accepted 80 students for reapplying and 20 for new students. We had our nursing orientation a few weeks ago. I assume you didn't go to it? Maybe you should call the school and confirm your status, because the deadline to accept the acceptance is past due.

CCSF Spring Program compared to Fall Program?
Hello Katie 04002. CCSF is changing the admission process for Fall 2012. They use to have a separate lottery pool for those who are reapplying and new applying students. Now the school is putting everyone in ONE pool. The number of times your name is put in the lottery depends on how many times you applied. Example: I applied twice to CCSF so my name is put in the lottery twice. I am not sure if they are still doing this. There is no guarantee of getting in CCSF. Even if you have a high GPA and a great TEAs score. Your best chance of getting into a school is to apply EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE. Some schools accept students with great GPA and TEAs scores, and others accept students base on lottery. It is a really competitive program. Good luck!

Chabot College Fall 2011
Hi Melody714, What email did you use to get a quick response from them? I sent them an email a few days ago and they have not got back to me yet. I actually didn't get into the program because they said I didn't meet their requirement (which is strange because I met their requirement last year, 2010). Also, is the minimum GPA to be consider 3.06? This is what I was told.

CCSF Spring Program compared to Fall Program?
Does anyone know if CCSF just look at the "Individual Adjusted Total Score" or do they look at EACH category to see if you have above a 67% for TEAS version 4? My individual adjusted total score is above 67% but one of the category was below 67%.

I can't get into any nursing schools!
Hello everyone. Thank you all for your kind words. After all of the comments and support I received on allnurses.com, I decided to keep on applying and not give up. One of the many schools I applied to was City College of San Francisco, and this morning I finally received an acceptance letter! When I saw the letter I cried, and this time the tears were tears of happiness. I want to thank everyone for their support, and wish the best of luck to all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you and... Thank you!!! B00ger

I can't get into any nursing schools!
I can not get into a nursing school and I am getting so freaken frustrated! I've applied to over 10 schools, and so far I have been getting rejection letters/emails. It is so depressing that I cry every single night, and I mean EVERY single night. Schools are constantly changing their requirements and it is getting so frustrating. First the school requires, TEAs 3, than TEAs 4, and now they want TEAs 5. Meanwhile, other schools want the skanky GRE. I've applied to community colleges, accelerating programs, and even private schools and still... no acceptance letter. I already have a bachelors degree in another field and an overall GPA of 3.1. I got a "B" in Anatomy. "B" in Physiology and an "A" in Microbiology. What am I doing wrong here? Can someone let me know what schools would accept me and does not require TEAs or a high TEAs score? I am willing to move out of State. Please let me know what schools are not so competitive in the US. Thank you. Booger.

SFSU Generic MSN for Fall 2010
Hello, I don't know how to make a new posting so I thought this would be a good place to post my questions. I am applying for SFSU Fall 2011. The application is not due until January 15th, however, I am taking my GRE analytical writing test on January 6th. I am pretty sure my writing analytical result will not get to SFSU before the application deadline. I was wondering if it would be ok to put the receipt of the GRE with the nursing application, and let them know the GRE score is on its way. Is this ok to do or would they need the actual sent score before the deadline? Also, my other question is if I need to take the whole GRE test or can I just taking the writing portion? Can I just leave the GRE testing right after I finish my writing? Has anyone done this? Thank you so much!
