CGFNS CVS New York. Help! (Transcript: Received but not accepted)

Good day everyone!

I'm a filipino nurse in the philippines. Currently, living in california. I already sent my application to NY BON. I have cgfns cvs processing my documents. I would like to ask if somebody experience a situation like mine whose cgfns status regarding transcript that received but not accepted. I contacted my school and found out that they didn't send my transcript of records to cgfns, only they sent is the verification that cgfns request to them. So, i thought that there's a missing document that's why my transcript is received but not accepted. I called cgfns and the operator didn't give me a definite answer to my queries in regards to my transcript status. My concerned is that, can i contact my school to send my transcript of records to cgfns? Will cgfns accept it? Or will i wait until my cgfns status change? Cgfns have 6 months to process my documents and i'm worried it will lapsed this august 2015, i filed last feb 2015. and maybe soon they will send it to ny without my transcript. Please help me for somebody who have experience such situation like mine. Hope to hear from you guys! I appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Since the school said that they did not send your transcript of records, that might be the reason why it was not accepted. But I suggest that you call again the cgfns to clarify if they have received any TOR from your school or not. Is it possible that someone mailed it separately to cgfns?

Thanks summer23 for your reply. Ok, i will follow up the cgfns again if they received or not my TOR for clarification. I was thinking too if it's possible for my school to send my TOR to cgfns but I'm not sure if the cgfns will accept it. Or i better wait for the cgfns to request it again to my school or if not they will maybe forward it to ny bon without my transcript. So, i'm very puzzled on what would be the decision of the cgfns.

Did you try the FAQ on the CGFNS website? Did you try emailing CGFNS? Your situation is unique as your school admits it did not send the requested documentation unlike documents not uploaded but received or lost in transit. Some schools are not responsive to the requests sent by CGFNS, in those cases after the 6-9 month mark CGFNS submits the CVS report as is and the NYBoN matches with the application submitted and determines the next step. (CVS does not evaluate the documentation for equivalency but simply compiles the info for NY, unlike the CES used by other states that actually evaluates the credentials provided)

I'm a nurse in Moldova.I applied to CGFN for NY Credintial Verification Service to transfer my nurse diploma from my country to NY .They said that that they sent a letter requesting TRANSCRIPT VALIDATION FORM from my home College. Because in my country the postal service doesnt work so well, or the letter got lost, my College didnt receive any letters from them.I contacted CGFNS and reguested form a second letter to be sented to my College,but since then still no any good news about any letter.

If someone can explain me what they mean by TRANSCRIPT VALIDATION FORM ? It contains all my grades,what king of topics I studied in the college and how many hours i did the clinicals? If someone had the same problem please hep me to understand what they want from my school.I was reading here that the envelope must be stamped.Who does this?The school?What contains that letter?Please help me with any info if you can.Soon my application is expiring and i dont want to lose my money.Please with any info or advices if you can.Sorry from my English;i'm trying to do my best!Thank you

You should be contacting the New York Board of Nursing to transfer your license over. They may need official transcripts with a seal to show they are not tampered. You may need the transcript to be translated for them. Be careful with scam companies who take your money but don't give you a valid license.

Wrong. You can't just transfer a license as an IEN. NY BoN will not consider an IEN application for licensing by examination until the CVS report is received from CGFNS (this is explained in detail on the NY BoN website & application). The CVS takes 6-9 months to process. If mail system is flawed in Moldovia that is not the fault of CGFNS nor does it make CGFNS a scam company. CGFNS does not issue the license it just validates the credentials of an overseas educated nurse. NY BoN evaluates the credentials to the BoN standards, determines if acceptable, issues the ATT to sit the NCLEX and if the NCLEX is passed, candidate completed the required CE & has a clear background a NY RN license is issued.

Sending translated transcripts directly to NY BoN and trying to skip CGFNS, even if sealed, will only result in a guaranteed rejection.

JustBeachyNUrse, for example, if the CGFNS forward it to NY without my transcript within the 180 days period, do you have an idea or for someone experiencing this kind of situation on what would be the NY BON decision? Will they follow up for the next step (fingers crossed) or denies it because of lack of transcript to evaluate? The agony of waiting if there's an assurance on what would the result will be. Once sent to NY BoN you can follow up directly if needed with a sealed transcript. CVS is just verification of credentials. NY does the evaluation.

I see. Thanks a lot JustBeachyNurse for the information provided. I know that nothing I can do but to wait for my transcript status to change. But then, thanks a lot. I received now an email from cgfns,

The New York State Education Department prohibits applicants from being involved in the process and has mandated that CGFNS International not disclose certain information to you. I can only share information as it relates to your application and the authorization forms that you submitted.

I expected that this would be their reply.

I am in the same situation but for CES service..its been 2 months since my school and the liscensing authority sent in my documents and still it says "waiting for req item" i called and they said that it should be there by now which i dont understand ..i called today and one of the workes there said to give it 3 days or its lost ...i kean i sent it through two different places how dan both of them be lodt..i went throuh ca bon and got rejected so i am losing hope i been trying since nov 14 ....thanks for the advice

Hi! Just like mine. But they completed my case but they have not received.my transcript from the Philippines and they send it all my papers to NYSED. And my question how it became complete without mt transcript and does the NYSED will be the one to send and asked my school for my original transcript or should i send that to cgfns or to NYSED?
