CEP Feb. Applicants

Hi all! Anyone else applying for the CEP program through Maricopa Community College during this upcoming application cycle? I'm applying for the GCC/NAU program and was curious if anyone else is applying this semester as well. I'm hoping I make the cutoff - the program is becoming really popular really fast!

I feel like my transcripts are not right, but yet they have my degree I just got showing. May I ask you how many credits transferred?

Hello! I just counted them up and it looks like 62 credits transferred over. I did have some classes that didnt apply to the nursing pre/co req's. I did find a "repeat" reject of the MAT 121 for another semester (which I didnt take). I'm going to double check when I get home with my transcript and make sure everything was noted correctly...but from a glance it looks ok.

What's the deal on the background check again? Did they ever mention why we need a check although we are already required to have fingerprint clearance?

I believe the background check for the fingerprint clearance card is for Arizona only. The background check they check not just Arizona, but where you have lived for criminal records, fraud, abuse.

Nope, no packet. I obsessively check my mail every day.

I did get mine, about 3 days ago from mcc. Its a registration packet that you have to complete to be able to register for classes. In the packet is the "Health and Safety Documentation checklist" for immunizations, the health care provider signature form that your doctor fills out, copies of cpr and first aid cards and fingerprint clearance card , and the completed background check. For mine it says I have until may 15th to turn everything in, not sure for everyone else. They also give info about the orientation mine at mcc is aug 19th.

Some of the other colleges might be waiting to send out the info once they do the second round of applicants. Try calling your collages and see what they say!

Have any of your background checks been completed? Mine is still "pending"

Oh i forgot to mention that they send it by email in an attatchment

I haven't got any packet from Gateway yet, but my background check is complete it took about a week.

I haven't received anything from CGCC yet. I did get a fancy packet in the mail from NAU though.

I just got officially placed in the second round of placements, and my acceptance and transfer credits from NAU finally posted. Whew! Glad things are starting to move forward. Now on to the background check!
