I graduated on May 19th and have been toying with the idea of getting a small tattoo when I pass my boards-something with a nursing theme...Any ideas?
I have been thinking about this a lot lately... I'm not even in nursing school yet lol. But either when I get in or when I graduate, I'm considering getting Korean script tattooed on my back that says "healer" or "nurse" or something like that. If I got it when I was accepted, it would be a motivator, among other things. But if I get it after I graduate, it is an accomplishment sort of thing. My mom is Korean, so it has special meaning. And I know it won't be mistranslated![/quote']
If you want to get a tat that is nursing related, I'd suggest you wait until after you have graduated and worked as a nurse for at least a year to see if you feel the same way about it then.
how bout the florence nightingale lantern? im thinking about getting that, possibly with a bird around it somewhere. i think its the only symbol that we nurses could all understand if we paid attention to the history part of nursing school =] good luck and let me know what ya get/got!
that is SO funny that you say a lantern and a bird, here is my RN celebration tattoo :)
