Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I would call Cedars and see the status of your application. I don't think it hurts to ask.

My friend told me that he got a call 2 weeks ago and that recruiters are calling about 200 people for phone interviews. It sounds like they are calling people alphabetically, so hope we get our calls soon. In house session to interview with the managers are in June and the new grad program is in July. Good luck.

Hello everyone I had phone interview today and as I said before I believe theyre still calling for interviews for two more weeks... I'm not sure how my interview went (don't feel that confident :(..) but the person I interview with stated that those who are chosen will receive an email for the open house to meet with the unit managers since is open house with invitation only.... They do recommend for everyone to have a profile created and to have their resumes uploaded...

Ps... B prepared w Qs such as customer service, wrk habits, know about he hospital too... I hope Ds bit of info helps I know I would of like sum help b4 my surprise interview... Good luck to u all ;-)...

I got an email today about the Open House and when it is, but I did not have a phone interview yet. Did this happen to anyone else? Also, did the interviewer tell you the date that the program starts?

Thanks, Care4! So the call we are waiting for is not to schedule an interview, but an on the spot phone interview? I hope they at least ask you if it is a good time for you when they call. Can I ask how long the interview was, and if it was more than 10 questions?

Hi Conure girl,

The interviewer called me while I was driving and he asked me if it was okay to do a 10 min. quick interview. I was going to say can I call you back as soon as I reach my destination but I felt like that would seemed as me saying "you know what this not so important to me" so I agree with the interview on the spot...it lasted less than 10 mins. I am not sure on the number of questions... but some of them were just the same questions they had asked in the first email... I do not remember all of the questions cuz it felt as lightning... but I do remember being ask why CS, why me, customer service, and what makes a great employee... I wish I could remember more but I cant think of any more... hope this helps...:redpinkhe good luck...

Sorry Willowlove, I did not asked when the program was starting and he did not say either; but i read somewhere in this thread that its to start sometime in july...

Thanks Care4. I hope I don't have to either. Sounds tough to interview without warning, especially if you were driving! I would probably not do very well answering those questions on the spot! I wish you the best of luck too and also to everybody else.

I just join the forum. After reading all what the other guys had to share for the Spring cohort at SCMG, I thing this will really help us go through the process smoother!!! I also got the e-mail saying that I will be receiving an invitation to the open house after submitting my resume to Rita. At first I was completely confused, but now I'm happy Willowlove that you had the same message.
