Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I got that email too, but I haven't had a phone interview yet. Did you have a phone interview yet? Do you know if they are doing phone interviews before the open house? thnx

just got a call from the recruiter. She says she is going down the list and some are being called right now and some will be contacted in the following 4 weeks for phone interview and open house will be held at the beginning of June. Good Luck :heartbeat to all of us....

I just called on Apr. 22 inquiring about the new grad program and if I had missed the application process, and the woman I spoke to gave me the recruiters email to send my resume and gpa to. I didn't know I could have done this earlier! I hope I am not too late?

Did anybody hear anything from Cedars? i was told i will receive an email with more info on the open house but i have not gotten anything. is the phone interview going on right now? i am so lost....

BTW Was there even an application to fill out for the summer new grad program?????? If so, when was it?

I don't think there was an application online. I was constantly checking. Finally I just called HR about a week ago about the program, and she gave me the recruiters email to send my resume and gpa to. I asked her if I had missed the online application and she said no. The recruiter hasnt responded to my email yet (sent on april 22) so i dont know if I should call, or re-email..

I just filled out that link on their website that someone else posted earlier just in case. The process seems kind of weird for this hospital.. I dunno. lol

I never saw an application on the C-S site either, but like some of you I phoned and found out I could email my resume and a cover letter. I did that on Fri Apr 22 and have not heard anything yet.

Has anyone heard about a regular application period? In the back of my mind, I thought it was going to be on May 1.

Anyone know general req for new grad programs like cedars and the like? Like GPA, letters of rec, BSN or ADN etc..

my friend who works there told me these are the requirements:

3.5 GPA or above

2 Letter of recommendations

Cover letter

no RN experience

proof of volunteer (if available)

prefer BSN

I got an email today from the recruiter saying to expect a call within a few weeks. What does it mean? Phone interview? Should I email back?

I got the same email today too. My assumption is that it is for an interview. I checked yesterday and still didn't see the New Grad positions listed on their job site, so it looks like just those of us who found out by phoning or are rotating there. Sure would be nice to know how many they are hiring and how many applicants they have! And even when the program starts (Aug?).
