Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

No I had to wait for my 2:30 appointment. That was a tough interview!!!!!! So many clinical questions and scenarios!!!!! I was dying......

I was so nervous I forgot to ask when we are supposed to hear back. Did anyone ask?

Yea that was pretty brutal. I liked that it was one on one rather than with a panel. My interviewer told me to expect them to contact us in 2 weeks. I'm so anxious already!!

It was crazy day for. Flew in to LA this morning, had my 20 minute interview and now I'm back at the airport. Good luck to everyone!

good luck everyone... did anyone asked how many positions are available I was distracted by asking other Q's that I forgot :pto ask....

I wonder if everyone was asked the same questions. I was asked about lasix, digoxin and dilaudid...among other but this were the meds that i remember the most...:uhoh3:

I think it was a good interview, I forgot to ask how many applicants but was told they would start making calls in about 2 weeks and would let us know either way.... good luck to us all!

My interviewer said there were over 500 applicatnts but I dail to ask for how many positions...

My interviewer said out of 300 that attended the open house, they would pick 60-80 for the next cohort

My interviewer said there were over 500 applicatnts but I dail to ask for how many positions...

I was told the same thing. About 300 attended the open house and 60 people should be offered positions; maybe more depending on the needs, that's about 20%. I think eveyone got the same set of questions. I did poorly on the senariorios questions. I've been away from books for more than 3 months now... Anyone knows when is the program soppose to start??? Hope we all get selected...

Just wandering guys; What's the next step before being offered a position. Who gets to decide on who to hire. Are our portfolios submitted to the managers of our units of interest? if yes, why do we have to start by medsurg? why are those who are going to be retained have to start by medsurg and then reapply down the line to their units of choice? I think I'm going nuts, too many questions going on right now. The wait during the next two weeks are going to kill me!!!
