Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I did get an invite to the open house and got scheduled an interview, however due to previous arrangements I won't be able to make it. I just so happen to be leaving for Chicago that SAME day early in the morning. I tried to reschedule my interview and checked with the airline but it would be too expensive to change my flight. I was told by the recruitment specialist she would put me on the wait list for the next open house. It's tough not being able to go to the interview, especially since this is one of the places I really wanted to work at. However, I trust in God and God's plan for me.

I'm so sorry to hear that you want make it to the interview on 6/8/11 other opportunities will came your way! If you don't mind me asking, there is probably something that made your resume special to be receiving a straight invite to the open house few days after submitting your resume bypassing the phone interview. Is it your degree or your GPA??? Have a safe trip...

Does anyone know if they want our cumulative or nursing GPA on the cover page for the portfolio? I have a nursing GPA > 3.5 but my cumulative is less than 3.5. Should I put both GPA's or just my nursing one and provide the cumulative if they ask...

I wasn't sure if the requirement of 3.5 was for nursing or cum GPA.

For what I read in other posts is nursing but if u like to clarify u can call the recruiter... I've only use my nursing since is the higher GPA

Thanks! I think I will end up just using my nursing GPA but bring the transcripts for my cumulative GPA in case they ask for them. I'm really nervous about the interview also since this will be my first one!

If u have a smart phone u can download a GPA app for free... Mine was given to me as just nursing since it was a different school for my Gen Ed than my nursing...
