Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

my interviewer told me they are going to contact us next week..so does it start next week or in 2 weeks?

My interviewer also said next week, but I asked out front and they said two weeks. Hmm...

I was told we were going to get an answer in one week too... I wonder why we get different answers for the same general questions... Oh well as long as we all get chosen :-D

I forgot to mention for the people that wanted peds... My interviewer said that they were trying something new with people interested in peds. They would start off in postpartum for 6 months and then be able to move on in their ped specialty.

I didn't have a perfect interview, I think I stumbled on some things. But my interviewer was really nice and told me I did a great job and she would recommend me. I'm not sure if she told everyone that though.. Trying not to get my hopes up too high

Im one of the girls sitting in the front row, anyone else on here yet? My interview went great and I hope to hear some good news soon, I am anxiously waiting :uhoh21:

I wonder why none of the interviewers and the front desk people said the same thing! Either way, I'm thinking we'll hear from them in 2-3 weeks bc they have to go through ALL of those portfolios!

Good luck to us all!

Hi Tiny!! I was in the front row with you :). I'm so glad your interview went well!! I think mine did too. In fact, everyone I spoke with felt their interview went well!! LOL! Hey, maybe they'll have the largest New Grad residency in CA! Wouldn't that be nice? I don't know about the rest of you but I was completely impressed. Coming from Northern Cal, where we are being treated like "ugly stepchildren" it was just so nice to be treated with a little reverence. So far I will just be grateful for the experience and chance to meet all of you wonderful New Grads!! Luck to us all!!

Hi Everyone,

Just curious how many of you were told directly by your interviewer that he/she "recommends" or "highly recommends you" at the end of the interview yesterday?

Good luck to all

I have a feeling we were all told that! :lol2:

My interviewer was super nice and she said that she would recommend me for the program, but as I said, I think she said that to everyone.

I don't have much hope though because I don't have a BSN.

Good luck to all!

Altho I think my interview went very well and my interviewer gave some positive feedback as I answered, she made no comment at all about her recommendation. Are there others like me or should I be worrying?

I wouldn't worry. People are different, maybe she/he didn't tell you but she/he will reccomend you.

The truth is, that we don't really know how they are going to select people, so we just have to wait:uhoh3:

Hopefully, as most of you have said, we will know next week. I don't honestly think they will read all the portfolios, they will probably just take a look at the ones they plan to make an offer to.

I'm in the same boat as you Dienne... no BSN here. I have an ADN and a bachelors degree in another field

Hopefully they will consider us anyway. Good luck!
