Hi, guys. I figure staring a thread for those who applied for the October cohort for Cedar Sinai New Grad Program. As for now, I believe the posting is closed.

Hello,
I had a question. For the portfolio, it says to include 2 letters of recommendation from clinical instructors (originals only). Do you guys think this mean they want letters of recommendations with wet signatures? Or you think a copy of the original letter of rec. would suffice?

Hey good question! Mine are not with wet signatures. My preceptor just wrote and emailed it to me. For some reason I think it will be fine , what are your thoughts?

Hey guys. I was worried about this as well, since I never received original copies. I ended up emailing my LOR people and they are sending my originals in the mail. I also talked to recruitment about this, and they said by original they do mean with wet signatures. However, they said if I copy is all you can get for the interview, that should be alright. But I think I’m that case they will need to either eventually receive an original or they will call and verify.
Its pretty old school and slightly frustrating, but I asked for originals just in case.
So I called HR and they said the copies of LOR should be fine!

Perfect! Lol I wonder why they said originals on the email. This way makes a lot more sense, given that most people received them via email
Do you happen to have the list for units we can apply to? Or do we just say we’re interested in the OR, for instance

No unfortunately I don’t have the list of the units. From the email, it seems like Medsurg and Tele for sure, but as far as the other units, I’m not too sure ?

It’s so weird! In the email they said come prepared to talk about unit preferences, and that it’s in the job posting. But I legit cannot find such a list ?

I think out of all that make it to the in person interview they end up accepting around half(?) from what I’ve read in previous blogs.
Anyone else super nervous? ?

That sounds pretty hopeful? The more I want something the more nervous I get so there's that.
