Cedars-Sinai New Grad Summer 2012

Is anyone planning on applying to Cedars' new grad program this summer? I heard the applications will go up mid-March but so far there's nothing. I read on past threads that their application process is different from other programs so it would be nice to keep in touch and see how it goes for everyone.

You have to have your licence by the start date correct, not now? Wondering because it asked if you have a "current RN license"

I think they ask that so they know which cohort/group to put you into. There's roughly 3 cohorts with staggering start dates.

someone on facebook commented that one of those corhots starts in june. if that's true, cedars is gonna have to sift through these applications and get to interviewing fairly quickly!

I think it's actually early July, mid July, and August as the start dates.

Does anyone else feel like this is complete crap what Cedars has put us through? I mean, they tell us to keep checking the website, it finally gets posted, then closes in a few hours. Then it gets reposted and now it's up for days instead of the 24 hours they told us. Do they enjoy making us insane?

Maybe it's so when those that get interviewed feels so cray-cray that it's obvious they need to be let go. :uhoh3: Insanity is the new normal?

I think they just had so much computer glitches this time with tons of applicants, they had to extend the application processing times longer than they wanted to and to be fair those that didn't get in while trying to submit. I know a couple of friends were cut off while trying, then couldn't log on again. But luckily, they were able to get them thru.

Out of curiosity.....Has anyone recently checked their application status for Cedars to find that there is no record of you applying, under "Jobs I've Applied To", and checked their profile to find that it doesn't have the updates you've made for the application? What's weird is that this is what I found today upon checking my status, but all of the above were there right after submitting my application last weekend. PLUS I received a confirmation email saying they received my application. Just wondering why the updates are all gone now.

Mine disappeared too!! it made me nervous, but maybe it just means they are reviewing them??? I hope for the best
