Cedars Sinai New Grad Spring 2022 Cohort

Hello everybody. My name is Bianca, and I'm a nurse residing in NYC. I started this thread for anybody who applied for the Spring 2022 New Graduate cohort and wanted to connect. I did not know this program even existed until yesterday when the recruiter recommended it to me after being ineligible for another position. With that being said, I wish everybody the best of luck and hope all of us get picked for our respective units ? (My 1st choice is Main OR and my Second choice is General Medicine, I think 8S- General Surgical)

Hi! I also just applied yesterday morning. I had applied for the Winter 2022 cohort as well, was selected as an "alternate candidate", and then ultimately didn't get the opportunity to interview. The units I selected this round were 6NE Surgical Step-Down and 5N Cardiac Telemetry. Good luck to all those applying ?

Oh no! Hopefully this time around is the charm. I wonder when you start hearing back. I was thinking of emailing the recruiter if I don't hear anything back.

I think it was pretty quick last time. People started hearing back after about a week.

Hopefully, we hear something back within a week. I am like guarding my phone like a hawk LOL

Hi friends. I also applied to the program. Keeping my fingers crossed. I applied to two step-down units as well. Thank you for making this thread.

Hello there! I am so glad that you found my thread. Did you apply to the surgical and cardiac stepdown? I would use the Main OR and Mother/Baby but figured it was wiser to do a competitive program (Main OR) and one that nobody will apply for (Med-Surg). Best of luck! I check this app everyday so I will be pretty active on this until otherwise

No, I did PCU and another unit, maybe Med Surg. I applied so fast that I was not really reading through the specialties. I did see Postpartum but that was one of my least fav in school so I did not choose it. I also have no idea what most of the other units entail and I was worried the application would close so I clicked through and submitted fast. In the last cohort, my application was rejected bc it was incomplete so I was not going to play around this time.

My application was almost incomplete as well. Thanks to the recruiter for emailing me back and telling me everything I was missing. I did not know so many things went into this application. I had to search high and low for my transcripts, letter of recommendation, and degree. My personal statement wasn't all that great BUT it was the best I could do last minute.

The diploma was a new requirement! They didn't have that the last application cycle. I had to scour my apartment for mine as well it was nerve-wracking

I forgot my login for my undergrad, so it was a little bit of a hassle getting the unofficial transcript. Thank God I had it saved in an email I sent months ago.
