Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program???

The other day I was on the cedars-sinai website looking at jobs when I noticed they had posted a new grad program job listing. I applied and received an e-mail confirming my application. I went on today to check my status and it said I never applied to the job... then when I checked for the listing, it was also gone! Does anyone know what happened? Did they cancel the program or something?

I'm slightly confused...

Started off ER, was told there was no ER. Switched to Peds, got to the final interview and was told there was no Peds. Ended up interviewing for Med/Surg, and that's where I was accepted :up:

Thanks for the reply!! also when did you all graduate from nursing school? just trying to see if they have some sort of system on how they are contacting people! Like are they doing people who are already licensed first or something! Thanks

I graduated June 2009 and I do have my RN. I am thinking they are first calling the best pick of the group. Did you get to see your interview score? The waiting is killing you, I'm sure. Good luck!

Does anyone know how the new grad program is organized?

I was told by the HR person that we do 12 hr shifts, but I'm wondering if theres a in-classroom component also.

If anyone knows details, please let me know.

Hey sunshine star,

I haven't been accepted or anything, but when I asked the Nurse Educator about the structure of the program, he said that you have a classroom day (about 8 hour day) once a month throughout the 10-week program. Hope that helps :)

newbiegal do u know if it's a 1 year or 2 year commitment? i still haven't gotten a call, but was just wondering. thanks :) I wonder how many people they still have to call.

honestly i don't know maybe a year? she just mentioned the east coast because of the time difference so idk if that's all they were calling. good luck!
