Cedars-Sinai opened their New Grad applications for the February 2021 cohort. I opened this thread so we can keep each other updated. Who else applied? I submitted an application and wanted to see if anyone else did. Application closes once they receive 200 qualified submissions.

Hi, I will be applying for the next upcoming cohort. I had a question, does Cedars hire new grads into the ICU? Has anyone heard of it? Or should I put step-down as my number one to not affect my chances?

Hi! I’m actually interviewing for cardiac surgical ICU. I heard it’s rare that they ever open critical care to new grads

Thank you! Um, honestly I have no idea why they chose me! I’m a newly graduated RN with no experience, but cardiac surgical ICU was the only critical care unit that was available for us during our application. Hopefully they keep it open for the next cohort. Good luck! Sorry I can’t give you any advice ? maybe a good resume/personal statement would suffice.

Hello all. I’m guessing that since I didn’t get any information from Cedars about a connectivity test that I wasn’t chosen for an interview. I did end up calling them last week and they said to just wait and that they were still making decisions etc. Anyway I’m going to move on and keep applying everywhere. Thank you all for your encouraging advise earlier in this thread. I truly appreciate it. Best of luck to everyone.
