Hi all! I know it is early since they are still contacting people, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us who are starting in the new grad cohort at Cedars-Sinai on July 7, 2014. I know there are at least several of us who are relocating from NoCal and will be looking for roommates or advice on where to live, etc. I am hoping this will be an easy way for us to network and share information as we make our plans and get ready to start.
Congratulations to everyone and thanks for any questions, tips or advice. So. .
Is there anyone out there looking for a roommate?
Anyone local have tips for us regarding where to look for a safe, commutable place to live?
Anyone have tips on getting around town? Is a car essential?
hey everyone! congrats on getting into the new grad program at cedars! i just love seeing new nurses getting jobs. it took me a year to find a job after i graduated a few years ago, so to those who didn't get in this time around, don't be discouraged. keep applying and don't give up!
i've been a nurse for 3 years, and i've worked at cedars for a year and a half already. i currently work on 5N, but i'll be starting in the OR in 2 weeks. i love working at cedars, and i really hope the rest of you do too.
just so you know, for full time employees, we get 5 sets of scrubs and 3 jackets (part time gets 3 sets of scrubs and 2 jackets i think). you should be having a day where you can try on scrubs (at least i did a year ago during the week of orientation). there's different styles and different sizes to choose from. its really awesome for cedars to provide scrubs for us.
if you have any questions for me, PM me! CONGRATS AGAIN EVERYONE!
Hello everyone, I've been trying to find information about when/how to get started applying for the Cedars new grad program. Were did you find the posting with info about where to submit initial applications? Do you need to have passed the NCLEX before you can apply, or just by the time the program starts? Does anyone know when applications will open up next? Thank you so much in advance!
