Hi all! I know it is early since they are still contacting people, but I wanted to start a thread for those of us who are starting in the new grad cohort at Cedars-Sinai on July 7, 2014. I know there are at least several of us who are relocating from NoCal and will be looking for roommates or advice on where to live, etc. I am hoping this will be an easy way for us to network and share information as we make our plans and get ready to start.
Congratulations to everyone and thanks for any questions, tips or advice. So. .
Is there anyone out there looking for a roommate?
Anyone local have tips for us regarding where to look for a safe, commutable place to live?
Anyone have tips on getting around town? Is a car essential?
Hi cas0503. we are going to be starting July 1st, but we don't yet know what unit we will be working on. Hopefully that information is to come soon. During the first round of in-person interviews, we each put our unit of choice on the cover page of our packet. (if you get invited to interview, this will all make sense :)) During interviews, they ask you what unit you would like to work on as well. I hope that helps!
I am going to be starting the New Grad program in July as well with all of you. I currently live in south Orange County and will be relocating. I have been researching some apartments and plan to go visit some over the weekend and next week or so. If there is anyone on here that is going to be relocating and may be interested in getting a place, feel free to send me a message!

Since I'm not able to edit my post, I meant to add in there that I too am looking for someone to potentially get a place with, so if anyone may be interested, feel free to write :).

Hello! I am not currently in this cohort, but I am graduating nursing school soon and hoping to work at Cedars in the next new grad cohort. I am wondering what units you guys are working at. Did you include this in your cover letter?
