Cedars-Sinai July 2014 New Grad Cohort
I am going to be starting the New Grad program in July as well with all of you. I currently live in south Orange County and will be relocating. I have been researching some apartments and plan to go visit some over the weekend and next week or so. If there is anyone on here that is going to be relocating and may be interested in getting a place, feel free to send me a message!

Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program Mar 2014
If you missed the application period still keep an eye out. The last cohort that I applied they opened it once and a few days-a week later they reopened the application again. Worth keeping an eye out for if you are hoping to apply there!

I highly recommend taking the prerequisites at community colleges! I hoped around took all four sciences at a few different cc's.

CSULB Fall 2014
Typically for orientation I remember needing all the titers, immunizations, physical and TB tests done. There will be an orientation packet with all the information they will send/post online ahead of time.

Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program Mar 2014
I think CaliRN is referring to a program other than the New Grad program, because ER/Trauma and specialties were not options for the New grad program

ANybody recieved interviews for CSULB spring 2011?
Oh it's insane. I was just talking to a family friend a few night ago who went to CSULB for nursing school back in the 70's or around there and it was just like regular school...you went in and just did it - no separate application to a program or anything. Wouldn't that be nice! And they make it so difficult to apply to multiple schools due to all the different requirements for each school.

Wow congrats on UCLA! Yeah, regarding the admission, I just find it rather unprofessional to release anything that's unofficial. I don't know why they'd put themselves in a position of giving someone hope when it's all unofficial. I personally have been at the point for a while now where it is out of my hands and all I can do is wait. All I would like to know is when we will find out since there are a few things I will need to do in a matter of a few weeks for Spring semester should I not be accepted. Thank you for the information!

I agree, I would like to believe that any information provided is correct. However, until it is officially coming from the admissions, directly to me - than we are in a way, left in the dark. There's so many conflicting things that have been posted that all we ask for is for admissions to be professional and keep all applicants informed.

I understand that, and I appreciate you updating on the thread. I am saying it is unprofessional on their behalf to be showing their computer screens to anyone when there aren't even official results yet. Until it is official it is confidential, I can't imagine the dean of the university being happy with admissions people giving unofficial results to anyone. It's the actual admissions that I'm not fond of when it comes to how they're running this. If they tell us it will be 2-3 weeks, than they need to publish the results in 2-3. If something changes that, such as this senior stuff, than they need to update everybody so everybody knows it will be another x amount of weeks. It should not be up to the students to track down the admission people and check the status of what is going on.

I'm a bit shocked that they are giving unofficial information to anyone and not giving anybody else any information. I'm rather bothered that they're showing another applicant a computer screen with everybody else's confidential information. The message I get is that if I hang around the office long enough and bother everyone long enough, than I may get the information I want. So by not calling and bothering them as told not to do, I'm really being left in the dark. I just can't believe they give this information, it doesn't give me much confidence in the integrity of the whole process.
