There actually is a rationale for this. Our Nurse Practice Act is much more 'evolved' than other states. In fact, we are the only state that has a legally defined "nurse patient duty" (since 1984) that cannot be subsumed by the physician-patient duty.... and we were the only state with mandated Peer Review (since 1986) until Kansas joined us recently... We also need to make sure that everyone understands how to use the protections that are in place for individual nurses such as Safe Harbor. We also have specific CE requirements for relicensure.

Hidy. Any one know a good web based course that fulfills the new nursing jurisprudence requirement?
Very Respectfully,
