2014 CCP Nursing Program

Published

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

carl liljedahl....i had him for AP1 and AP2. super awesome professor and his class is fun and everything you learn from him be memorized. his class is always interesting

Who made it to the program?

Has ayone started doing their clearances and checks?? or CPR??

I'm going to start looking into CPR classes. I actually want to get started on shots, since I heard that for some you have wait a few weeks between them. I know how to do the clearances since I had to do them because I work in childcare.

I am actually working on my Clearances now. I got my CPR through my job

I haven't done anything yet!! :( Since I am still in school and working part time...I don't get the time to do it. However, I know how to do the clearances and thinking of dong the child abuse this week. The criminal background...is that FBI or PA Police criminal records? I went to the website of the Child abuse clearance and this two was also on the site. For me, I do not have a PCP yet, so I am looking for a small clinic that would take my insurance (under my Dad's insurance) and accept new patient.

@ LosRojas19 For HP CPR, did you take an exam? Did they give you the card after the course?

I have not done anything yet either. I felt like I should wait for orientation so I know exactly what they want but I am also kind of clueless on what to expect :crying2: Does anyone have some insight from current nursing students on what exactly is needed and when we should get started? I'm a full time student, work almost full-time, and haven't had a day off since winter break so I was hoping I could squeeze these things into the summer.

I have not completed anything yet. However I did look into the CPR/BLS courses. I am going to take them at Jefferson. I think it is 70.00.
