2014 CCP Nursing Program

I figured I would start this topic to lower my anxiety just a little. I took the health allied test today and I have to wait till next week to get my scores. I really feel like im on pins and needles right now and I know I'll be a nervous wreck when I actually wait for my acceptance. Before I even got started on my journey to be a nurse I came across this website and It really answered a lot of questions about the application process, and was insightful in other areas of nursing that enabled me to think of more questions for answering. what I really love the most was that in previous years ccp applicants supported each other during the nerve wrecking waiting period on getting accepted. that support was so tremendous that a lot of the applicants bonded and became friends. Is there anyone else that has applied for the 2014 CCP program?

Hey bossyrobi!! I am actually plannibg in going there too :) its actually $75 + $18 class + book. I am thinkig of doing it next month and i am going to request for my Child abuse clearance this week.

@ Aleia the course was for like 4 hours, i took an exam after the end of the course and mailed me my CPR card. They took about a month to send my card.

I am excited about meeting you guys. I can't wait for orientation.

Thanks Aleia!! I am planning on taking the class in April as well. Working on those background clearances now is a great idea as well.

Oh in reference to the vaccinations this is what I found from the 2013 CCP Nursing forum:

Titers for:

MMR

Hep B

Varicella

Polio

Vaccinations:

2 step PPD

Meningococcal

TDAP

Flu

Anyone signed up for their classes already?

I came on here to ask that same question! I'm such an anxious person, and since today was the first day of registration I just had to do it. I saw that a few other people had enrolled in the classes too. For Nursing 101 there's A LOT of sections and it was a little confusing, but I just based it off of the info given in the Application packet that said Class Monday/Tuesday (and Wednesday if you don't get into the Monday/Tuesday sections, I believe) from 8-9/10 and then from 10-12ish. Hopefully I got it right and signed up for the right amount of classes/sections -- I'm sure they'll let me know if I didn't.

How long did it take for everyone to finish all prereqs? I'm taking the placement test tomo and wanna get started right away for nursing prereqs. When do they ask for my hs transcript because I have psychology already and i think chem..if that would count towards credits? Does anyone know about that?

I just registered for my classes. I registered for AP2 for Summer 1 because I need to complete that and I also registered for the Nursing 101 Classes. Did you manage to register yet?

hi guys, i don't know if i did it right, but i registered for 1. 7.00 credit, 0.00 credit on Wednesday and another one 0.00 that it says "out" I am guessing for clinicals?

Hi Yolanda,

I signed up already. I signed up for lecture (M-T), Lab (M), Seminar (T), and OTS (clinicals). My classes are MT and I am off on W because I heard that clinicals are on TH and F.

Guys, you have to sign up for four parts. That is Lecture, Lab, Seminar and OTS. All classes together counts 7 credits.
