CCBC Spring 2011

Hello everyone,

I wanted to say hello to everyone applying to Spring 2011. When do you plan on handing in your application? I am so excited to be near the end of my perquisites. GOOD LUCK and I hope to see you all in the spring!!!:coollook:

Rachel: yes we are in lab together Wednesdays. I sit with Sheila. Sheila and I are the same age. BTW I just registered for the dosage class on campus.

I just received my package and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on the 15th. Laurie - I just signed up for the dosage class on campus as well. - Shelly

I received the same letter as you. I'm sure they just send the same message to everyone who is on the wait list. Did your letter say they will review the applications of those on the waitlist by the end of the SPRING? And let you know by December? I'm hoping that was a typo. I think they meant they will review the applications by the end of the FALL semester right? Also, I'm curious of how many were accepted, and how many people are on the waiting list. Do you have any idea?

I recieved the same letter as you two. What you guys are thinking is exactly what's in my mind. I do hope that this is not just a general letter to anyone. In the previous pages, wasn't someone said that they only place 15-20 ppls on the waitlist? Hopefully we are one of those. Then our chance to get in would be higher. I really don't want to wait another semester. But just keep our fingers crossed. Good luck to all ~

For those on the waitlist, the seat fee payment is due December 2. There is an orientation meeting on December 15. I would imagine you would hear something between these two dates.

Hey there, yes my letter had the same typo...I am really hoping that I get a call and I get in...Are you finished all your pre reqs? I am! So I am hoping that will put me before the people who are waitlisted that still have classes to finish...But who knows...I thought I had a pretty good chance of getting in before because my grades arent bad and I had a pretty nice teas score but who knows...Anyways, I have my fingers and everything else crossed!! Who knows how many people are waitlisted?? There are so many rumors and such about it...I try to just take one day at a time now...

I am hoping so much that I get a call!! Good luck to you!

Good Luck Jess! My letter did NOT say I was waitlisted. I have my fingers crossed for you!!!

Thank you LuckyMe4, that was very sweet. I won't give up, so you shouldn't either...guess we will be sweating it out next semester together again. That first day I found out I didn't get in, I was so upset but now I am trying to create my backup plan...

My letter said I didn't get in because of a low TEAS score. I passed but it wasn't good enough. I am not worried. I have made plans to get tutored for the next time I take it. I should have done this in the first place. By the way is this the same Jess that took Micro this past Summer with Mr. Meise?

Laurie - I feel so dumb! :o I am SO bad at remembering names! Do you sit two seats to the left of me during lecture? Haha, you will have to let me know on Monday, I know everyone's faces, just not names! I'm the Rachel with the dark hair- since there are 2 Rachel's in the class I figured I would let you know!

I am also going to sign up to take dosage on campus. I've taken a lot of my pre-req's such as English online, but I think the dosage will be easier to take in class. Plus it will be nice to meet people starting in the Spring!

To everyone who found out they are waitlisted, I wish you the best of luck! I am sure there will be a good amount of people who applied other places they would rather go or have other reasons for leaving. I'm sure not everyone who was accepted will attend! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys :)

Oh hey guys, I was in D. Meise's class this summer too (plus A&PI)! I am glad the contigent grades aren't to strict in the package! Anyway, submitted my background check tonight. Does anyone know for sure if the Fundamentals class on SIMON is a good estimate of our schedules (plus clinicals)? I would love to let my CCBC know my schedule (I work there too). I am so excited to meet everyone!!! Lots to do ladies!

I too am very curious about the spring schedule. Plus I want to know if we still get Spring break. I guess we will learn a lot on the 15th. I signed up for the dosage class, but the background check website was down. I'm trying again today. It will be great to meet everyone in person.

I think we will probably get a spring break - it says it operates on the normal 15 week semesters I'm pretty sure on CCBC's nursing website. So that should mean we get a spring break :)
