CCBC Spring 2011

Hello everyone,

I wanted to say hello to everyone applying to Spring 2011. When do you plan on handing in your application? I am so excited to be near the end of my perquisites. GOOD LUCK and I hope to see you all in the spring!!!:coollook:

I am sure a lot of waitlisted people will get in. Don't worry just yet. I think that is actually why they started doing the seat fee over the past year - because people who got accepted weren't actually starting the program; either because they went to another program or for whatever other reason. With the seat fee being non-refundable, it stops people from accepting their spot even with no real intentions of starting the program so they can offer those seats to other people. I definitely wouldn't worry too much yet. I am sure a lot of you will be just fine :)

For those still holding out hope...

I just talked to Gwen Jones from Essex. She said there is about 15 to 20 people put on a wait list. I hope my name is on there somewhere. Wouldn't it be great for others to choose to go somewhere else. In any event, I truly believe things happen for a reason. I just don't know if I can go through another wait.

Too Bad I didn't have a seat fee. I am a little disappointed, but the result is also kind of what I expected. Cuz I still have 2 prereqs in progress this semester. And I didn't do well on my A&P1. But I'll keep trying next semester. Congratulation to those of you who got in anyway!!

Why did that one chic say 'congrats to class of 2013'? Aren't we going to finish in Fall of 2012? I paid my $200 already. LOL. I was too excited. I can't wait to get the packet in the mail. This is giving me a surge of energy to finish this semester! AP2 and Micro. It has been busy. Now it is all worth it.

Congrats to everyone. I recieved a seat fee for Catonsville, but I have decided to wait for a BSN program. I am on the waitlist for Towson, and am praying with this semesters grades I'll get offered a seat. So....there will be at least one of you pulled from the waitlist! Good luck!

My mail lady hasn't come yet! I'll let you know when she comes though :) That would be awesome!

Idk about anyone getting letters today. The Admin Asst. for Essex said they mailed the letters yesterday (which was a federal holiday...no mail). No one would have a letter if what they said was true. Anyway...she also said that the packet would have instructions on accepting the spot, which probably means paying the seat fee. Hopefully I get my packet this weekend, I'll pay my deposit as soon as I know all the details!! :)

BTW, who is in each program (Essex/Day, Catonsville/Weekend, etc.)?

I am day-Essex. My name is Laurie. I am currently taking A+P 2 with Dr. Van de Wal, and Micro with Dr. Gilinger at Essex. Rachel, are you in my class?? I am 37 and have a 12-year old daughter. I came to nursing because my social work license did not result in a job!

Oh, it probably would have been great of me to answer my own question...

I am Erika, also day program at Essex. I am finishing up A&PII now with Dr. Anson at Dundalk (and my last 2 prereqs for my Bachelor's as well). It will be great to know a few more people going into the program!

No packet for me today, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow...Monday seems forever away!
