CCBC, Fall 2011 Applicants =)

Published

Hello Everyone,

Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.

For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).

GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm not sure, I'm still at school. But you said you didn't get accepted so I wasn't sure if you got your letter or not.

No, I just know I didn't get the "Accepted" status. :(

That sucks. :-( Maybe you at least got wait list?

I'm encouraged again and I'm ready to get back to school in the fall already. Lol I'm curious to know how soon I can take the TEAS again (for it to count for next spring) so I'll have to call the office and find out. Hell, I even have a Fall 2012 application open on my Simon so at least that's sitting there for when the time comes. Gotta keep the faith. ;-)

I will keep you posted. The TEAS is good for 2 years, so good luck!

Good for 2 years or not, that damn score needs to go!

Hi Everyone,

I checked my account today and I see a seat fee applied and it read accepted when I checked my online app. I dont want to get too excited because I havent gotten the acceptence letter. Is that crazy?

Congrats to all that has made it. I am truly happy for each of you even though I have been crying for hours not. No no letters have went out yet. And the previous poster is correct, you can register for nursing dosage even if you have not been accepted.

To Jaz, what did your status say before it changed?

I know you probably don't want to hear this right now but God is in control and his plan is so beyond anything we could ever imagine. Don't give up on your dream and please don't feel like you're less than because of the status of an application. You have gone through so much to get here and when it does happen it will be so much sweeter.

you are so right. I am eternally grateful for my opportunity and wish everyone the best of luck. if anyone needs recommendations for nutrition take robin minor at the dundalk campus...

I got tutoring for the teas at catonsville, i needed help in the math area and it really helped, i had forgotten so much basic math.

Hello All,

I've been noticing that some applicant who were accepted have not completed all of their pre-reqs...Does that mean that you can get accepted w/o being done? Also, if the answer is yes, did you all score really high on the TEAS?

I am asking because that must mean that your GPA is not taken into consideration of your TEAS score is high?????

Any feedback would be great!

Thanks,

Shanelle

Hi Shanelle,

My TEAS score was Basic and my GPA is 3.4... I did complete all of my pre-recs before applying... I applied for the n/w program when I checked myccbc today I saw a seat fee applied to my account... Hope this helped

Good Morning All,

Thanks Everyone for their feedback and their words of encouragement. I have not given up, I believe that everything happens for a reason and apparantly it just isnt my time. What does not kill you will only make you stronger. I will repeat a few classes and get at least b's. I am definately getting rid of that proficient 67.3% on the teas and retaking that the first chance I get. The weird thing is that Gwen Jones said as long as it says "proficient" you are good and you don't need to take all your classes at CCBC to get in(Ive seen people who haven't taken any classes here get in). Though those statements may be true, apparantly I could have done something in addition to better my chances and I would have if I was advised to. But no need to cry over spilt milk. I will have options next year lol.

Congrats again to everyone who made it...and please continue to posts and share your experiences. I love reading these discussion boards, as a matter of fact, I look forward to it.

To all of us who did not make it, we know what we have to do and this time next year we will be on the other side. Keep our heads up and make it happen. We should also continue to posts and support each other and people who will be in our shoes.

Thanks Again All,

Shanelle
