CCAC Spring 2010

Just curious if any who have applied have heard if they've been accepted to CCAC Nursing program for Spring 2010 admittance?

Also, does anyone out there know what the likelihood is of getting your fist choice?

I hope you guys get your letters by the end of this week. I remember how nerve racking it was waiting 6 months to get a response. I'm sure this happens semester after semester and I don't know why CCAC hasn't done anything about it.

I just don't understand why they bother giving us a date that we will have our letters by if they can never stick to it!

Oh! Also, in the spirit of getting a different answer everytime you ask, I asked in both the Nursing Office and the Nursing Secretary's office (at the South Campus) and they say the letters aren't even being sent until friday nov 13th.

I think theyre just trying to mess with our heads at this point. :sniff:

I just called the North Campus after reading this. She told me we should receive them by this Friday. I made sure to ask her to specify 'sent out or received' and she said received.

Christen, I hope this is all a big misunderstanding. I will be :angryfire if i don't have that letter by Friday!

Oh thank goodness!!!! I was hoping that was the case. South campus seems to be the worst for information!

Good luck!!! I'm sure I asked this before, but what are your 2 campus picks? I have Cal 1st and Allegheny 2nd.

Allegheny is the only campus that I can attend. I don't have a vehicle and its the closest campus to me. I don't even know if i marked a 2nd choice; if i did and got accepted into my 2nd choice i wouldn't be able to attend. I'll be heartbroken if I do get accepted but can't attend.:cry: But i don't think that'll happen and i think that i could work something out with the nursing office if it does.

OK everyone. Just because I read some of the other posts from today. I decided to call one of the campuses that are doing the spring program. The only one that answered was Boyce, the woman there also stated we are supposed to know by Friday. I asked her if they have gotten their list yet and she said NO. If they don't even have their list how are we supposed to know by Friday ( I was given the impression by Shannon at CALU that the list is emailed when letters are sent) I am beginning to think that we are not going to find out until CLASSES start in january..........:( If we don't find out on Friday I am emailing the new dean of nursing because this is completely uncalled for....................:angryfire ( emailing the dean probably won't do any good but it will make me feel a little better!)

I am really sorry... I should have specified that my information came from the NORTH campus where the letters are issued. I don't know how many have been up to the 3rd floor at north, but if you get a chance you can walk by and see the boxes of applications and the denials :eek:.

I am expecting the letter tomorrow, and I am expecting all campuses nursing secretaries to be calling off sick for Friday and Monday :D I would if I was them!!!

I know if I get a denial, I know where I will be sitting either Friday or Monday to know what I need to do to make it in.

Not in the hall, but in front of the deans office, behind the secretary. The denials have a basic cover sheet with check boxes for generic reasons.

That is how I knew about the denials, I saw a handful and asked what were the common reasons. I need to note those I asked about were Fall 2009, I did not dare ask about Spring 2010.

is it crazy that i want to call off work tomorrow so i can be here when the mail arrives?? :rolleyes:

at least we are (hopefully) getting our letters just in time for the weekend. i can't wait to celebrate!! :cheers:

My mail doesn't run until almost 4pm! I have to distract myself heavily tomorrow to keep from going insane! Let's hope we find out by Friday.
